This sacred act of drum making can be a deeply meaningful process. Hoppi weaves Natural Shamanism, Self Development and Sound Healing to create a truly unique drum making experience.
Connect with your own Inner Wisdom
You’ll be guided to trust your own inner dialogue with the spirit of the trees where your hoop was sourced. You’ll travel to meet the animal spirits of your drum, honouring the skin, feathers, fur, and any minerals and crystals that make your drum possible.
Enhance your connection with the Sacred
You’ll be encouraged to trust your inner knowing and engage in loving, self-reflective practice that switches on your creativity, soulful presence and personal expression as you make your utterly unique drum and beater.
INCLUDED IN THE RETREAT
Every drum is made with ethically sourced materials.
- Beautiful handmade 18″ wooden frames
- Ethically sourced deer, goat and horse skins for your drum (available skins depend on ethical supply routes)
- Recycled leather and suede for decorations
- Feather and fur gathered from road-kills, to honour these animals and make something beautiful from their senseless death
- Wolf wool from “The Lammas Wolves” for making your drum beater (aka Kimi and Bo, our Alaskan Malamutes)
Hoppi is a medicine woman, sound healer and carrier of many sacred songs for ceremony, prayer and healing. During this retreat you’ll be taken on a deep inner journey, not only to create your own drum, but also to discover the power of relationship with your drum. You’ll learn how to work with this ancient tool, how to “travel”, how to invoke different shamanic rhythms, and how to experiment and connect with your drum. You’ll be guided to meet the spirit of your drum and taught the art of effective intention and prayer setting with your drum.
