What is a Medicine Woman?

For thousands of years, women have carried an innate connection to the Earth and her sacred mysteries. We have been seers, midwives, healers and priestesses, keepers of deep wisdom and magic. We gathered plants by the moon, sang our babies into the world, sat with the dying and tended the fires of our communities, communing with the Earth, the elementals and Nature herself to heal.

Yet the power to birth, heal and create was feared, and our ancestors were silenced. That wound still lingers in many of us as self-doubt, or a quiet shrinking from being seen.

But the knowing never left us. It lives in your bones, in your intuition, in the way your heart quickens beneath a full moon. Now is the time to remember who we truly are, and to walk together as Medicine Women once more.

The time for walking alone is over. Everywhere, women are waking to a knowing they can no longer ignore: that another way of living is possible, rooted in the Earth, held in circle, lit from within.

If you feel the fire of purpose burning, if you are ready to heal the old stories of suppression, to hold sacred space for your community and to step forward as a ceremonialist and guide… this is your call.

When women gather in truth, something ancient stirs. We remember the grandmothers who came before us and the daughters who will follow. We soften, we root, we rise. In sisterhood your voice strengthens and your medicine becomes steady, because you are held, seen and honoured exactly as you are.

For twelve months I’ll walk beside you, meeting you wherever you are, whether you are just beginning or ready to deepen an existing practice. This isn’t a course you take. It’s a remembering, a homecoming to the wild, wise woman you’ve always been.

THE POWER OF FOUR

Four is the number of balance and the sacred cycles of life: four seasons, four elements, four directions, four phases of the moon, and the four stages of womanhood: Maiden, Mother, Maga and Matriarch. Over the year we journey together through four elemental temples, each a gateway into the feminine mysteries.

Temple of Water

Spring ~ Maiden ~ New Moon

Plant allies, emotional flow and the art of beginning. Water teaches us to listen, to soften, to flow, to reflect and to let our healthy Eros and intuition rise.

Temple of Earth

Summer ~ Mother ~ Waxing Moon

Animal medicine and embodiment. Rooting deeply into the rhythms of birth, creation and nourishment. The Mother energy helps us learn service.

Temple of Air

Autumn ~ Maga ~ Full Moon

With crystalline clarity of wisdom and discernment. In this stage of our lives we reclaim our true power to embody ritual creation and being the space.

Winter ~ Matriarch ~ Waning Moon

Stepping into our sovereign Matriarch, we fully open our crown into powerhouse alignment, crafting our sacred containers with grace and skill.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Hoppi Wimbush

Hoppi is a mother of three stunning humans. She is also a Medicine Woman, a healer, ceremonialist, educator and musician and has been helping people heal for nearly three decades. She works with creativity, nature, sound vibration and music, with sacred ceremony and profound healing plants.

After co-creating the world-renowned Lammas Eco-village in 2009, she founded the Lammas Earth Centre with her life partner Tao. Hoppi has been living a life of real balance and deep harmony with Mother Nature for over a decade, and this journey has birthed The School of Natural Shamanism. She has created several practitioner trainings and holds powerful ceremonial retreats, both in the UK and internationally.

Hoppi is passionate about supporting women to remember and reclaim their soul’s calling for this new paradigm on our sacred planet. All her work is dedicated to bringing about the inner shifts needed to inspire and ground the new energetic frequency of humanity, to bring about deep peace for all of life.
